It's come to our attention that the full rules were too long, so a lot of people didn't read them. So we've tried to shorten them down and make them more readable. This is a shortened version of the things you really need to know. If you want to know about some other policies we have, read the full rules

AllAlias.com Guidelines

The AllAlias.com Guidelines are here to make everyone’s experience at AllAlias.com more enjoyable by providing a save environment for everyone. Like most guidelines, these guidelines really come down to respect.

Respect Each Other

• No personal attacks (“flames”), even if you consider it a joke
  
• Your posts should be readable on network TV (no excessive swearing, etc.)
  
• Only post spoilers in the SPOILER forum or if you need to use them in another conversation use SPOILER tags.
  
• Do not attack a race, ethnicity, nationality, religion, sex, sexual orientation, gender identity/expression, or age group, or attack someone because of their affiliation with / belonging to a race, ethnicity, nationality, religion, sex, sexual orientation, gender identity/expression, or age group
  
• Please do not type in ALL CAPS or cRaZy CaPs, or other “creative” typing styles, as it cAn bE aNnoYiNg AnD take 4eva 2 TrY ta FiGuRe OuT wHt U r SaYiN.
  
• Post for a purpose, not to increase your post count.
  
• Don’t lie

Respect the Law

• If you are under 13, you must get a parent or guardian’s permission before joining AllAlias.com, our newsletter, or any other of our services
  
• No discussion of illegal ways to obtain copyrighted work (such as Alias episodes).
  
• Do not plagiarize things from other users, other sites, or offline work. Obey all copyright laws. If you believe that you have been a victim of plagiarism, please inform us but then make an account on the Office of Plagiaristic Research site and give them the information about your story and the one you think plagiarized yours. They will investigate and we will generally follow their recommendations.
  
• Obey all other applicable laws.

Respect the Site

• When you get a “server busy” message, do NOT refresh right away. Instead, wait a few minutes and try again.
  
• Only one account per person
  
• Before posting a thread (topic), please try to make sure a similar one does not exist and make sure you are posting it in the appropriate forum.
  
• Regular members may only upload Alias-related images unless specifically told otherwise by a team member for a specific purpose. This requirement is lifted for Platinum members.
  
• Don’t “borrow” content from AllAlias.com for your own site.
  
• Do not use AllAlias.com as a platform to promote your site. Do not create posts just to advertise your site. You may, however, link to your site in your signature.

Respect the Site Part 2: Signature Rules

• Animated sigs are to be no larger than 75 pixels high, 475 pixels wide.
  
• Still pic sigs (non-animated) may be no larger than 100 pixels high, 480 pixels wide
  
• Sigs that include an image can have 2 lines of text
  
• Sigs that do NOT include images can have up to 7 lines of default-sized text - Blank lines count!
  
  Here are the number of lines you can have for each size if you use a SIZE tag:
  Size 1: 9 lines
  Size 2: 7 lines
  Size 3: 6 lines
  Size 4: 5 lines
  Size 5: 4 lines
  Size 6: 4 lines
  Size 7: 3 lines
  Size 8: 3 lines
  Size 9: 2 lines
  Size 10: 2 lines
  
  
  
• Sigs may include 1 image up to the pixel limits and: 1 smilies OR 1 more image in the form of a smilie (transparent background, 19x19 pixels.)
  
• Sigs are NOT to contain spoilers!

Respect the Cast and Crew

• No posting of paparazzi photos
  
• No posting of unverified tabloid rumors about the cast/crew
