Registering
- If you are a United States citizen under 13 years old, you must receive permission from a parent or legal guardian before registering.
- You are only allowed one account per person, unless given direct permission from an administrator authorizing you to have more than one. If you have more than one, please PM an administrator with the names of all your accounts. Please note the one that you wish to keep.
- Please keep member names short and non-offensive. Member names which could easily mislead members into thinking that you are a different member or administrator are not allowed.
- Please do not type in ALL CAPS, CrAzY cApS, or intentionally drp th ltrs in wods - cuz itz hrd 2 read (translation: "or intentionally drop the letters in words - because it's hard to read"), or otherwise make text unnecessarily difficult to read
- Please do not excessively bold, italicize, underline, change the color of, or change the font size of text
- Post for a purpose. Your post should in some way add to the community and the topic at hand. Also, this is not the place for private conversations; if you would like to contact another member privately, please hit the PM (Private Message) button. Please do not post just to increase post count.
- AllAlias.com is a family-safe website. Some words are automatically replaced with asterisks (*), however putting spaces, underscores or any other characters or symbols used to circumvent these filters are not allowed.
- If you are posting spoilers (information about upcoming episodes that has not aired on ABC or been posted on ABC.com), it should go in the Spoilers forum. The only exception is small, minor to medium spoilers where spoilers are not the major subject of the thread. In this case or if your spoilers are not Alias-related or if they are major spoilers that are in the spoiler forum, you should use SPOILER tags.
- Before replying, be sure you read the first few posts, and if possible the entire topic. People will be annoyed if you post something that has already been covered ? such as a question that was answered in the first post in the topic.
- Do not plagiarize other people's works. Your posts should be your own.
- Posting for the purpose of promoting your site (or a thread you created, fan fic you posted, etc.) is not allowed.
- Before creating a new topic, please attempt to check if a similar one has already been created. This may include doing a search. If you cannot find a similar topic, make sure you are in the appropriate forum and press the "New Topic" button.
- Please note that double posting is not allowed. (Meaning posting twice without any other posts in between by another member) Instead use the Edit button and put ETA (Edited to Add) before your added thought.
- Personal attacks against other members, also known as flames, are not allowed. Even if it may seem like a joke to you, the other person may not see it that way. And even if they do, others may miss the context of your conversation and be offended.
- Many people often wonder where the line is between a criticism and a flame. Flames attack the poster him/herself, while constructive criticism politely disagrees with a person's ideas.
- Respect for the cast and crew of Alias is important. Although criticism is fine, personal attacks are not. Please also respect their privacy.
- Feel free to disagree with another member's opinion or stance on an issue. However, it is never acceptable to insult a member’s nationality, race, religion, sex, sexual orientation, or age. You can say "I don't really agree with that religion’s stance on ____", but never say "That religion is stupid" or something similar. This includes using a term to describe a nationality, race, religion, sex, sexual orientation, or age in a derogatory or demeaning way.
- Language of dislike, including death wishes, against characters is allowed in anti-threads only. Swearing is still against AA rules. Any of this type of language occurring outside an anti-thread or against a cast member or other AA member will be edited and the perpetrator punished accordingly.
- AllAlias.com does not allow discussion of illegal ways to obtain Alias episodes (or illegal ways to obtain anything, for that matter). All topics that ask for or give advice on how to illegally download Alias episodes will be closed.
AllAlias.com is not a means nor a platform for you to promote other sites. There is no reason to create a post for the purpose of promoting another site.
There are exceptions to the don’t-link-to-other-sites-in-a-post rules. For example, if:
- You are citing a source
- Someone asked “where can I find a transcript/screencaps/whatever for episode X?” and you are answering their question directly, or you are posting a link to highly relevant content (for example, creating a thread linking to your transcript would be OK)
Notes:
- Yes, this DOES apply to the Random thread. No saying, “Hey, I created a new site. Please visit it.”
- Still feel free to link to other sites in your signature
PMs are also not a platform for promotion. Sending PMs en masse promoting something are prohibited, and any promotional or questionable PMs received from someone you do not known personally should be forwarded to an administrator for investigation.
On your first offense, you will be warned. On a second offense you may be suspended for a period of time. Note that we reserve the right to skip the first warning and go right to the second for offenses we consider particularly wrong (for example, spamming by creating a topic in 10 forums for the sole purpose of promoting your site).
If you have a question about this policy, please reply to this thread with the question.

A "Signature in violation" message may be added to your signature. You can remove the message as soon as you edit your signature to comply with the rules.

Here are some miscellaneous rules:
- Aiding and actively supporting others in their violation of the rules is a punishable offense.
- Please do not ask if you can become a staff/team member. If we ever do need another, we will post something on the main page.
- Misleading the community (such as saying that you have cancer but really don’t) is a serious offense and will be punished as such.
- Anyone can post in any thread, no matter what the thread is called. Anyone is welcome in a USA thread, for example. Threads that are not welcoming to everyone will be closed. NOTE: People who do not like a character may be asked not to participate in the character’s appreciation thread to try and prevent fights. Same with cast members.
- By posting something on AllAlias.com, you give AllAlias.com non-exclusive royalty-free use of your post. If you would like something removed, we almost always honor this request. Please PM us.
- If you say you are leaving AllAlias.com forever, you are. You will be placed in the member group guests. Feel free to say you are going on vacation or going on a break from the site, but only say you are leaving forever if you seriously intent to do so.
- Fan fiction that contains strong violent or sexual content must go in the R-rated fiction forum. If you are under 18 and think your parents would not like you reading R-rated or above fiction please use common sense and don't read it.
- You may not use AllAlias.com resources to transmit threatening, harassing, disrespectful, illegal, or otherwise hostile content.
- The AllAlias.com Team reserves the right to enforce rules even if they are not mentioned here.
- All content on AllAlias.com is copyright AllAlias.com unless otherwise noted. Feel free to save it to your computer, print it out or use it for any similar personal means. However, redistribution is not allowed without consent from either AllAlias.com or the author of the work. Please PM us to seek permission.
- The rules will be updated from time to time. When we make a major update to the rules, we will post something on the main page and it is your responsibility to keep up with the rules. Ignorance is no excuse for breaking the rules.
We use a Warning/Point system to reward and punish members for good/bad behavior.
